Our Services

The first visit includes a 60 minutes psychiatric evaluation with Dr. Salehinia, during which he will review medical and psychiatric history.

Where needed, he may recommend lab work, such as blood tests. Once the assessment is complete, he will recommend a 30 minutes follow up visit to go over your diagnosis and discuss a comprehensive treatment plan.

Please note that typically medication is not prescribed during the first consultation, as treatment usually starts after the assessment has been completed.

Medication will be carefully prescribed, only where a need for medication is identified following an assessment.

Dr. Salehinia offers convenient, secure and HIPAA-compliant telepsychiatry in three state of Maryland, Virginia and California and if he determines that this is a good fit for you.

Follow-up appointments are recommended depending on Dr. Salehinia’s recommended treatment plan and last 30 minutes.

These are generally arranged to take place on a monthly basis, however the frequency of follow-up depends on the treatment plan and can therefore be more frequent.

For example, if there is a change in medication a follow-up appointment may be required within a week of the the first assessment.
